    Argentines obtaining italian passport

Hi there, I've got an Argentinian friend who is now studying in Europe thanks to her Spanish Visa, even though she had a Spanish grandma. What they did was to get their mum a Spanish passport first of all and once the mother had one, all her children were able to apply. For what it's worth, all...

    In need of medical certificate

Hi Tatiana! If you've had OSDE till recently, I'd go back to whichever clinic you've been before and tell them about your situation-I don't think they would refuse to check your husband, provided that you pay for all fees yourself as you no longer are a member. When my hubby just arrived from...

    Just Married...Now what..

Hi there, Tom! My hubby applied for a DNI last December and we got it sent to our address like only a month and a half later, when we had just come back from our honeymoon. The staff at the Immigration office were actually really nice and a lot less fussy than we would have expected, they didn't...

    DNI - Ventanilla Unica

oh well :( Thanks anyway! yeah, I'm quite familiar with the translation process being a legal translator myself haha although this time I've had to hire a colleague for the obvious reasons. Disclosure is the Scottish equivalent of your police report-a couple of Scottish expats told us...

    DNI - Ventanilla Unica

@Ashley; I was wondering if you had to have your UK passport translated too? We've already sent both my husband's birth certificate and disclosure to a legal translator to have them translated, but all the posts we've found so far claim no translation is needed to apply for Argentinian...

Thanks a lot, Ebrizz and BHNCA! I was aware of the legal procedures to follow down here being a legal translator myself, though this time looks like I'll definitely have to hire a colleague ;)

Calling all British expats! My British husband and I (Argentinian passport holder) got married a few months ago and are thinking of getting him Argentinian residence as he should be entitled as my spouse. We already have the birth certificate but the question is whether he should get his good...

    Peruvian restaurants

Still looking forward to trying a really yummy vegetarian Peruvian dish ... if such thing actually exists? Been both to Chan Chan and some of the Abasto places and have been incredibly disappointed by the bland tasteless veggie choices :( Would really like to hear some recommendations, though!

    San Telmo....best barrio in BA!

( Of corse, you will have to find the chili pepers which can be a task in its self). We usually get different kinds of chilis from Bolivian greengrocers in our neighbourhood (Congreso) as well as from the Bolivian lady vendors outside chain supermarkets. Alternatively you can also get them at...

    Argentine Movie Recommendations

If you should run out of Argentinian films here's a couple of good Uruguayan films you should watch-btw, their accents will be quite alike and they tend to speak a tad more slowly so that might help too ;) Whisky El baño del Papa Gigante Enjoy!

    San Telmo....best barrio in BA!

Is it really? The very few times I've tried Emmental in BA it tasted a tad stronger than your regular Argentine gruyere-I do love both though!:D

    San Telmo....best barrio in BA!

Haven't you tried Gruyere? I think it can be really nice, and I'd also suggest Pategras and Colonia, if you haven't. As for San Telmo, I do agree it's a lovely neighbourhood with a charm of its own although it doesn't seem to suit everyone's taste here.

    teaching english in argentina

It is necessary to have some Methodology training in order to be able to teach the students grammar tenses, structures and the like and you have to remember as well that local teacher training schools such as Lenguas Vivas or Joaquin V Gonzalez have both very intensive long-term courses of...

The worst pizza in the world?

I personally love thin crispy pizza with lots of cheese and little tomato sauce on it-an American friend has told me this NY style while all the Italians I've met confirmed this is standard Italian pizza from restaurants while the thick oily one you normally get here in RA is more of a homemade...
