    >>>>> Anyway, what really is the big deal? And what's this got to do with Manchester United? Spices in Argentina

You can buy cardomom pods and ground cardomom, and cumin seeds in Bs As at least, but Garam masala is (or was?) only sold in tiny packets at an outrageous price so bring that, and all your favourite masala mixes which are not available here, you can't get anything for fish for example, and...

    Spices in Argentina

Hi, all sounds pretty straight forward to me, even if you are based in Cordoba. Cinnamon sticks could be tricky though ! I have some sitting in a jar that I have never used. 3 statements never heard in Arg: "I'm sorry, I was wrong, It won't happen again"

Going back to the original thread, which seems to have gone way, way off-topic, NB. that in Argentina there is no direct translation for the word greedy. It took me a while to work out that here, they don't understand the greedy concept. Just try to explain it to someone and watch what happens...

I rented a flat in San Telmo from 1990 - 1993, and never had a problem. Locals (still speaking Italian in the bakery) were very pleasant, and I was always walking about at night... obviously that is a long time ago.... it was Estados Unidos # Chacabuco. Lots of great restaurants and bars within...

    Hello from Cariló !!

Hi Beatrice, >>> Being in the middle of the forest, it is nice, I guess you mean the pine plantations (non native forest), which have been planted along much of the coastal regions of easternmost Buenos Aires. Is there any native Tala woodland near you? I'd be interested to hear about the...
