I was at Sugar for both games - lots of fun. Too much beer for me though waiting between games! In case you haven't seen it yet, here's a replay of the game made out of Lego: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/video/2010/jun/29/world-cup-2010-germany-england-brick-by-brick

    Colonia trip on July 3rd

Anyone else going on that day? I've seen every nook and cranny of Colonia, so my plan is to just get some nice lunch, have a few beers somewhere and watch any interesting World Cup matches that might be on. Would be glad for some company if anyone is keen.

    Analysis: Argentina 2-Greece 0

Greece won the European Championship playing exactly like that, so it's no surprise that they keep persisting with that style. It was a good little test for Argentina, as they will no doubt come up against other sides wanting to do the same thing. I agree they have looked like one of the...

Any Aussies watching the World Cup?

There was a good crowd at Sugar on Saturday for the Australia game. Will everyone be back there tomorrow?

    Analysis: Argentina 2-Greece 0

Argentina end the group phase with 9 points! A tough game against Greece, but another win for Maradona's boys in the end: http://www.argentinafootballworld.com/features/28-world-cup-special-argentina-2-greece-0.html

    Analysis: Argentina 4 -South Korea

They've been fine so far - Messi and Carlitos have done excellently. I just wonder what will happen when they need to go to 'Plan B' against a top team. The first 20 mins of the 2nd half against Korea was not that encouraging. I'm down for Plaza San Martin. I'll message you on here with my...

    Analysis: Argentina 4 -South Korea

As I said in my analysis, I think Veron offers something that others don't have. Although, you're right, he's very old and very slow. I would like to see Pastore take over the playmaker role.

Any Aussies watching the World Cup?

OK you crazy bastards. Look at it this way.. if we win tomorrow, the whole group is level on 3 points. I'm going to Sugar because that seems to be the most popular option. (Costa Rica 4619)

Any Aussies watching the World Cup?

Casabar is confirmed! Will be open even for the morning game. Might get there early and have a few Bundaberg Rums to calm the nerves.

Any Aussies watching the World Cup?

I'm going to check with the Casabar owner just to confirm they will be open - but I'm pretty sure they will be. I'll post on here if there is a change of plans. Dan.

Any Aussies watching the World Cup?

Sounds like we might be able to get a cheering squad together. Let's decide on a place sometime before the opening game against Germany, which I think is on Sunday the 13th at 3:30pm. I'll suggest Casabar on Rodriguez Pena and Santa Fe, but am open to other ideas.

    Argentinian football/soccer site in English

This is a website I've been working on for a while. Wouldn't say it's totally finished but I've hurried it up a little to have it online in time for the World Cup. Hope you like it: www.argentinafootballworld.com

Any Aussies watching the World Cup?

Thanks, Liam! I suppose as an Irishman you'll be watching the WC just to see France lose all three games, right?

Any Aussies watching the World Cup?

I'd be interested in watching the 3 Socceroos games with some other Australians (and I'm not optimistic there will be more than 3!) in a bar in the city somewhere. Are there any Aussies who will be in Buenos Aires during the WC? BTW here is my new football site: www.argentinafootballworld.com
