San Telmo restaurant - where to go?

Has anyone tried either of these restaurants? Restaurant Rioja or La Emilia romigna? They look good on guiaoleo, but I don't really trust guiaoleo. Have a reason to be in San Telmo weekly, so looking for restaurant recommendations. Tried (and loved) Cafe Rivas. Also liked Caseros. Brasserie...

I'm going to bump this up since we've gotten a few good responses, and would love to do more. If you want a website for your business, or a makeover for your current website, and want to feed us, teach us or offer us something besides money in exchange, send me a PM.

Local cell phone plan or ???

Droid 2 (I think, one of the Droids) on Verizon is also GSM/CDMA. It's true that many of the Verizon phones are only CDMA, but not all.

Local cell phone plan or ???

Not true for Claro. I don't have a DNI and have an unlimited data plan for my unlocked US phone.

Entering and leaving argentina with different passports

I'm trying to avoid the entry fee on US citizens when entering Chile (well actually it's my bf I'm asking about, I already paid it). He has an Israeli passport, which I think he can enter on without paying any fee. I know countries where you have a passport often insist you enter with that...

Entering and leaving argentina with different passports

So it's coming back into Argentina that I'm likely to have the most trouble? Because they won't see a stamp for any other country from the interim period? Strictly speaking, is there any legal problem with what I'm proposing, or is it simply confusing to the immigration officials?

Level of spanish needed to survive BA

One thing I would add about Spanish: you can get by in most day to day situations with only minimal Spanish. Mine is pretty good, but I still find difficult situations that deal with institutions/bureaucracies/etc., because I don't know how things work (over the phone is particularly difficult)...

Entering and leaving argentina with different passports

Can anyone else confirm that Canick's scenario is allowed: enter and leave Argentina with passport A, enter and leave another country (in this case, Chile) on passport B, return to Argentina (on either passport?).

Thanks. Is Isla Martin Garcia also not worth it in the winter?

    Carmelo? Gualeguaychu?

I saw both suggested on another thread for daytrips that aren't Colonia. Would anyone recommend either? Are there better options? (And I've read the threads about not needing to leave, and I might well not, just wondering if there are other daytrips worth considering.)

Is anyone going to Colonia anytime soon?

I thought there was nothing to do, especially when it's cold. Others like the escape from BsAs. But there are plenty of threads on the legal requirements: http://baexpats.org/expat-life/18256-best-option-extend-stay-tourist.html

Is anyone going to Colonia anytime soon?

Are there any other worthwhile day trips (that would give us a new entry stamp) other than Colonia (so bored one time I went)?
