    Santiago Chile question

I was there a few years ago and did a day hike in El Morado national park, starting from Banos Morales. I don't remember much of the logistical details (we did it ourselves, not with a tour) but it was a nice day, without really difficult climbing, mostly just good scenery.

    Persicco: are there ever deals?

I finally found good coffee ice cream here at Persicco, but aren't fond of the idea of paying 85 pesos for a kilo. Does anyone know if there are ever sales, or if they do any sort of promotions (like 2-for-1 on Mondays like other places)?

Who's up for watching the Super Bowl at a bar?

I was there for the AFC championship. The front area had a flat-screen TV (I think it was flat-screen, we couldn't get seats there) and they were projecting it onto a large screen/wall in the back area. No loud music, just the Spanish commentary/

    Salta to Cafayate

Hi everyone, I did a trip to Salta and Cafayate in November. We did it on a motorcycle so I can't help with info about renting a car, but our blog includes a fair bit of description about what the roads and scenery are like (as well as photos). Apartments BA: anyone used them?

Along the same lines, if anyone knows of a furnished one-bedroom apartment in Palermo (more or less between Scalabrini and Bonpland, Santa Fe and Soler) for rent for a reasonable price, let me know.

    Apartments BA: anyone used them?

Due to a non-so-great experience with our landlord/realtor (unfortunate since we really like our apartment), we are looking for a new apartment, and I was wondering if anyone has used Apartments BA (www.apartmentsba.com). Any bad experiences? Trustworthy? Etc. Thanks.

Kindle Book Club? Or the like?

legilber, any chance you want to make a listserv for this (google groups maybe?) and PM the people who have expressed interest? it might be easier for people to follow the latest info if we do it via email rather than trying to follow the decisions via forum posts.
