I would recommend a new Macbook (released by Apple 3 days ago) for $999 + TAX at any Apple Store. They come wth 1 year International warranty. He can also buy AppleCare for $249+TAX which gives you 3 years of peace of mind.
For an additional $75 you can buy a legit copy of Windows XP, partition...
You nailed it my friend.
There was a very famous song (late 60's) from an Argentinian band. (Vox Dei) and, sometimes in the Chorus the words were:"...Todo tiene un final, todo termina..."
Nothing is forever, not even a Government.
This is the first time I hear a statement of that sort from a fellow Argentine. In almost 8 years in the US, I've been twice to Starbucks: I don't appreciate people showing off their Macbooks and iPods/iPhones just for the sake of it.
My ex wife was making AR$3500 to AR$5000 a month + OSDE, 8 hours a day (Mo/Fri), in an American /Argentine owned Human Resources firm, as a recruiter.
That was 2.5 years ago and she is in her mid 50's.
Funny thing you mentioned this: I've had recurrent nightmares while I lived in the US about the Chinese army taking over the US and going house by house arresting people. (thank God it was a nightmare)
Almost all of the restaurants have a special meal / entertainment planned for New Year's eve. In the burbs, prices drop big time. (u$s 50 per person or even less)
You have to book your table in advance.
Most of us (Argentines) hang out with family and / or friends in a house.
New Year's eve...

Tacky? Absolutely.
In Argentinian I would say "GRASALAND"
I was forced to go there several times for business. I made a comment on Emeril's restaurant because his name is all over the place in the US and I was invited by a client who claimed that the restaurant was one of the top 3 in town...
To me, classiest has nothing to do with GOOD food; not always more expensive means -IMHO- better.
I've been to Emerils Lagasse's Steakhouse in Las Vegas and found his beef absolutely tasteless.
You should make a trip to Panero. (Zona Norte, Olivos)
Hi all,
I've retired last year from gigging but some old friends of mine asked to play with them.
I was invited to sit with a band called @. The venue is a rock / blues place in Villa Urquiza and there'll be another band (La Confluencia) playing as well.
I guess the crowd will be starting...
It's called queso cottage or just cottage. I used to buy it years ago (Sancor, La Serenisima) but I haven't looked for it recently.
Or, you can do your own.
