Muu Lechería in Palermo-- a No Recommendation

Has anyone tried Trixie Diner in Costanera Salguero? http://www.trixieamericandiner.com.ar/ They raved about it on elgourmet or some local food show and it has decent comments on guiaoleo, but that doesn't say much. Same concept as Muu, hopefully they have better execution.

    Dim sum

Barrio Chino has street food and appetizers at restaurants but doesn't really offer dim sum. The only place that somewhat has it, with a very limited menu, is Hong Kong Style on Montañeses. They actually call it "tim sum"...

English Words Used in Buenos Aires

A lot of these words used daily really make me laugh so I've compiled some of my favorites (and your favorites) into one list: http://queseyoargentina.wordpress.com/2010/10/06/spanglishized/

    Coffee and WiFi

I would take it a step further and recommend not to use your laptop on the sidewalk... find a café with a terrace or patio in the back - I've heard too many horror stories, just not worth it.

    Coffee and WiFi

Establecimiento General de Café is really nice (they have a few locations) but the best one is on Pueyrredon y Arenales where there is an outdoor patio /garden. http://www.estcafe.com.ar/

    SOS: need real vanilla

No need to go to Rosario... they have pure vanilla extract at many of the dieteticas and even barrio chino. I just bought a tiny glass bottle from Lotos in Recoleta , Av. Cordoba 1577, for cheap (i think it was under 5 pesos). i would check out the BA health food map and go on a search...

    Great New Vegetarian Restaurant

Is this the same Green Life that was on Paraguay y Aguero (i think), it was a veggie chino tenedor libre that opened a few years ago, and I think closed shortly after... possibly the same owners? Los Sabios was closed on a Friday?! that's really not a good thing... LS is great!A similar thing...

    Jalapeños

Surprisingly, I have never had a hard time finding hot peppers... barrio chino and san telmo markets will aways have a stock, but first check your local verduleria - you probably won't see it advertised, just ask. I first asked my peruvian verduleria on Santa Fe and Carranza for the most...

    sushi tips anyone

I'm somewhat appalled, sushi pop is naush. I guess it is a somewhat acceptable option if you are on a tight budget and craving sushi... barely. You can get red tuna elsewhere (Benihana, Yuki, Dashi). My office ordered it the other day, and my portion had little threads in the rice (no clue how...
