How do you guys find things here?

This is the beauty of Argentina, you never know what you can get. Overall, just use google map. General shopping can be done at the supermarkets all around the city. Certain things are not available, like if you looking for Jamaican jerk sauce. But most things are available just like any parts...

Fancy steakhouse are expected to br tipped, at your choice of the amount, I do it 10%. To a regular restaurant, 1K-2K pesos per person, or you don't have to tip like all other Argentine, it's optional.

After 50 days Precaria Still Stuck? – Supervisor Not Signing??

You can go WU with your passport, that's all, you don't need DNI to receive money with WU. As for 'En Tramite', you can go to the Migracion office to ask about it. Also if you're here for school or work, contact your school or company see if everything they did right.

Can anyone suggest an ATM in Palermo

Next time if they ask, just use a photo copy. Some donkey cashier in Asian market insist to see it a while ago almost teared my passport bio-page off when he opened it. After that I only keep a copy of my passport in my wallet, so far Jumbo okay with it. But it's rare Dia would ask to see it...

Can anyone suggest an ATM in Palermo

Did you go Jumbo? they're the only one that requires you to show them your paper so far I've encountered. Use WesternUnion to get cash, much more easy. The ATMs here are all useless, the best hit I got with ATM was HSBC bank in central for 70k pesos, on top of $15 USD transaction fee. Don't...

    Declaring Dollars Upon Entering Argentina

WU only allow you to transfer max up to 5K per transaction. As far as for pesos, I've done more than 10K in 7 months, not a single problem so far. Probably your bank might ask you something to confirm the transaction than ARCA does.

How many of us are still here?

Maybe the four seasons weather in BA is something to consider. I've never been to Medellin, would love to at some point. But long time ago, I used to work in Barbados, Bridge Town, for whole three years, the weather was none stop summer, lots of spicy food on top and dengue fever. Personally I...

Three weeks ago I got some pesos via WesternUnion at 1:1320, now its 1120 as I'm checking right now. Something went...

Citizenship - Was advised not to leave Argentina

I feel like Argentina is very similar to China, the laws and the rules on paper is one thing, people sitting in the office/with power how they interpret the laws and rules are the other thing. Before Pandemic, I used to live and work in shanghai for more than 2 years, unlike in the states what...

Citizenship - Was advised not to leave Argentina

One lawyer I've spoke to said the courts are randomly assigned to avoid 'unfair practices'. So you can't pick to court. But I agree, you can travel as much as you like but this is Argentina. If you already living here, you would find so many things that doesn't make sense but exist anyway.
