First timer, thinking about buying a house

Mar del Pampa is very nice. We went there about 5 years ago. Since then we've been going to Costa Del Este where this house is. We were there in November and again last week so it seems like time to think about having a house there. When she said that 20% off asking price is average sale...

    Getting refugees admitted

Neighboring Bosnia and Serbia have committed troops to fight with Putin. Croatia is sending troops to Ukraine. One of our cousins is bringing all the children to our family home in Chicago. They are afraid that Argentina has too many ties to Russia and China. So it looks like my original post...

    Getting refugees admitted

We have family in Croatia, we've always enjoyed visiting them because it's a prosperous, tranquil, beautiful country. Now Serbia and Bosnia, their neighbors and former bitter enemies, are sending troops to support the Russians invading Ukraine and that's stoking old hostilities in the region...

I did the same but with United, I trusted them more than a shipping company. The weather was warm both when he was leaving Florida and on a stopover in Houston but they took excellent care of him. Either way, you should research preparations for shipping, like punching extra air holes in the...

    Who's got Omicron?

Members of our family that have been taking multivitamins and who did a course of ivermectrin, in addition to getting 3 Pfizer shots, have, so far, dodged covid. I'm a skeptic by nature but when my dr prescribed this I figured it was low-cost, low-risk and worth a try. I don't know what...

Buenos Aires seems safer and nicer than Los Angeles, what happened to the United States?

In the 1940's, 1950's, 1960's we were unified against actual (or at least perceived) enemies. (IMHO) since the end of the Cold War we have turned to fighting among our selves. So is there are new promised land?

Buenos Aires seems safer and nicer than Los Angeles, what happened to the United States?

Minimum wage people were renters but firemen, teachers, could afford nice two bedroom apartments in good neighborhoods. In the 50's, 60's mortgages were about 2.5x income. In New York there were also many two family houses where the buyer could have rental income to help with the mortgage.
