Is return ticket required to enter?

I have been coming here since 2004, never have I been asked about my return trip. I am always asked where I am staying, but not my return. I have come three times without a return trip booked and once overstayed my visa. After the overstay I was always asked when i would leave, until I had a new...

Am I going to be in trouble bringing a lot of electronics with me into Argentina?

The main problem you will have is the voltage here is 240. It is great for UK travelers, but will present some problems for US devices.

    Buying a guitar in BA

There is a guy at Parque Centenerio, hand made guitars. I am no expert but I bought one a few years ago three quarter size so I can lock it away. It stays in tune the 9 months I am away and has a nice action. I paid $800 in 2014 but don't expect to pay that now.🤣

Cash pick up in BsAs (Sterling exchange)

WU was not on my radar, being a Brit. I have had a couple of people tell me to use them. I have logged on and am exploring this, seems my best option. Thanks for the help.

Cash pick up in BsAs (Sterling exchange)

I think it unlikely that my local Chilean veg shop will accept digital currency. As of last year they did not even accept card transactions.

Cash pick up in BsAs (Sterling exchange)

As Azimo no longer do this, I was wondering how others get their money in Argentina. I have various means to look at but I do not know if I can order by my Bankers card (preferably not credit card) and pick up cash from a local office in BsAs. I am due out at the end of the year and need a way...

RIP Azimo! Was anyone using them to send money from the UK? Desperately need an alternative!

I have been in contact with Remitly. I also used to pick my money up from Argenper, The contact at Remitly just said it would work the same. He did not seem to have a lot of idea. I will not be in BsAs until the end of the year, if anyone can help with this before then, I would be most grateful.

Why would anyone come to this country in this century?

It was Richard Nixon, he said "There are First world countries, The Western Democracies, Second world, Eastern Block, the rest are third world" So yes that makes Argentina Third World, but not necessarily a bad think.

Why would anyone come to this country in this century?

You forgot Tango. I would argue the health care as well. Better than many in the world, but does not compare with The UK NHS. I often find myself defending the health care here when I am at home, but having watched two people die while the ambulance is stuck in traffic and one while two...

    Covid rules

When I arrived here this time I had to sign a DDJJ. Not trying to teach my mother to suck eggs, but it states that I will obey all the covid rules and regulations. These rules have changed (I understand ) since I arrived at the beginning of Feb. Is there anywhere where I can keep up to date...

Married to an Argentine citizen, questions about residency

To get certificado de domocilio you just go to the police station tell them where you are staying and they will come the next day to check you are there and it is done. When I bought my place I was staying in a B&B, that address went on my certificado de domicilio I think at the time it cost me...

    Us dollar account

I contacted Banco Piano and got an agreement to transfer Dollars. The problem was they would only transfer the whole amount on completion of contract. As nothing goes smoothly here, I was not allowed to complete (New build 50% now 50% on completion). In the end I had to bring the money in a bag...
