    Homesickness

It definitely comes in waves for me as well. Just how it is sometimes. I can't imagine living back in the States, but I don't feel like I belong here yet. Kind of like a woman without a country. It's normal to feel this way, I am told. But the hardest parts are missing big events back home...

How To Not Pass For A Tourist?

Tourists can be spotted clutching their bags with a death grip. The key is just to go with the flow, relax and keep your bag towards the front of you, not the back. Watch the way people interact and move. There have been more occasions recently where I have been asked for directions by...

Having a hard time with the food, still working on the language and trying to figure out how to get dinero back in my bank account in the States to pay bills is stressing me...

    Airport Searches?

I am a US citizen who came in with my Argentine fiance on 28/9. We didn´t really have any major issues nor bag searches. The only problem we had was the fact that the international health certificates for my cats weren´t completed correctly. Thankfully, he was able to get SANSA to accept a...

    English Teacher Needed Urgently

Hi Eelee, I am new to this forum and can´t figure out how to PM you. I would love to start teaching English but haven´t started working on the certification yet. Is it possible to teach without it? I am a yoga instructor and have a natural inclination towards teaching. I absolutely love...
