    BA iPhone App

Fair enough. I guess I mostly just wanted the maps. I got lost easily and nothing marks you as a tourist quicker than holding a map. Except maybe holding a smart phone??? Anyway, I'm not even in BA right now. But next time I'm there I'll check it out.

    BA iPhone App

Hey just saw this on the App Store. It looks like a pretty cool way to navigate the city with your iPhone. It's got maps to the major monuments and a lot of restaurants. Looks like the price just dropped today from $5.99 to $0.99. So for that price, I might just go ahead and give it a shot...

Dinner and Drinks in Palermo (Friday, Jan 15)

A few of us got together last weekend to check out clubs and bars in Palermo. This week, we're thinking of meeting for dinner first and then drinks. Everyone is welcome to join us. Still thinking about the restaurant. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Anybody want a cat?

Glad he found a home. But that's an image I could have lived without. I'm crossing my legs for the rest of the evening.

Yeah, that was amazing. I had forgotten all about it until reading this post. Table and chairs blew all around my balcony too.

Anyone in Palermo up for food and drinks?

Ah, I started this thread and then forgot to watch it. Looks like I missed out on the Indian food. How was it?

    Expats and Alcohol

Yeah, I agree on the wine. I just spent a month in Chile and it was the same there. Good, cheap wine everywhere.

    Expats and Alcohol

Interesting perspectives. No doubt the culture we're in influences how much we drink. In Tokyo, drinking was a big part of socializing. You'd go out with your coworkers after work and drink. You'd go out with your friends on the weekends and drink. The last train of the night was always...

    Expats and Alcohol

So I’ve been reading this year’s “Best American Short Stories” anthology and came across these lines in the story “Muzungu” by Namwali Serpell, “Her parents had settled into life in Zambia the way most expats do. They drank a lot.” That got me thinking about the years I spent in Tokyo where...

Anyone in Palermo up for food and drinks?

Hi, I've just arrived in the Palermo area (actually Palermo Soho). I'm working from my apartment during the day so I'd really like to get out and meet some people after work, for dining or drinking. Age, gender, nationality not important. If interested, please let me know. Would love to meet...

    New to BA

Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I just got to BA on Saturday (I'm originally from NY) and plan on staying for a month, at least at first. I'm self-employeed so I'm trying the whole working-while-traveling thing. I've always been fascinated by Buenos Aires so I'm glad I finally...
