If the economy gets real bad will people turn on expats ?

Chill out people, as an argentinean myself I can assure you we are more than friendly towards foreign people. And basically there could be some inner hate or whatever towards tourist and the likes but it will never get to the point of violence, take South Spain as en example, plenty of expats...

    Western Union money transfer

Proper account in my books would be something like a BBVA account that allows you to withdraw huge amounts from an ATM, if you happen to have Mercado pago or Brubank you can only withdraw 15 K a day from an ATM. Sure you can use rapipago and the likes but again, pain in the ass with the long...

    Western Union money transfer

Some landlords prefer cash…and when you don’t have a proper bank account it’s a royal pain in the ass getting some cash here.

    Western Union money transfer

I'm sure the right answer must be somewhere here, but been to a couple of WU agents here in Palermo and they're a pain the rear when it comes to having actual cash, any reliable WU office in this area where cash actually exist? And to be clear I'm not looking to cash 100000000 pesos and...

    Moneygram transfer

Got 2 transactions cancelled too, hope is some kind of glitch or whatever cause it was quite comfortable to receive my money with no fees and in less than an hour.

    Western Union money transfer

Guess that one is a worldwide issue if you ask me, never spent more than 5 min max with ATMs, but people in front of me always looks like they're browsing the web or checking instagram in them...will never get how on earth they can spend that much time doing something as trivial as withdrawing...

    Western Union money transfer

That's the thing I hate the most about my beautiful country, and there's plenty to hate, but that long line thing is life consuming. It all comes down to people paying with different debit or credit cards, splitting the payment, asking for what kind of discount they can claim and so on, but man...

    Western Union money transfer

MG: GBP at 298 now, the usual dilemma man...to pull the trigger or wait a little more.

    Moneygram transfer

Won’t work with the UK one, go with MoneyGram instead, 30 mins to my argie account from my British one and no fees.

    Moneygram transfer

Moneygram, works the same and sometimes you even happen to find better rates there, for me there's 0 fee with MG UK and it gets to my local account in less than an hour.

    Western Union money transfer

Does not work on the UK site neither, it says it only applies to online transaction which is actually what I'm trying to do...been using MG past few months but there's a huge difference in WU favour these days, maybe MG will catch up tomorrow.

Why would anyone come to this country in this century?

Agree with everything you just said and guest what? Got back here to enjoy CABA when I was 40, so good luck with that and don't pay attention to the usual naysayers, I already told my friends "si alguien mas me pregunta que hago aca lo cago a palos" :P

Why would anyone come to this country in this century?

THIS, I was in the same position as the OP once, wanted to leave the Conurbano so bad you wouldn't believe it, but even back then I knew CABA was a great city with lots to offer. So in the end I was lucky enough to leave and make all of my dreams come true, but there was one thing I still wanted...

    Safe to wear watches?

As a local I got to admit you got it right, there's one thing I would like to pinpoint though, as weird as it sounds to foreign people the dangerous and unsafe place here in Buenos Aires is the Conurbano, not the city, everywhere else in the world is the other way around. Cities are cities and...

    Moneygram transfer

For some unknown reason I discovered Moneygram just yesterday, GBP rate was 240 with WU and 253 with Moneygram, no transaction fee and money got into my Brubank account in less than 2 hours against the usual 3 or 4 days it takes with WU. Can't get the reason why some people still go with WU when...

    Western Union money transfer

Thanks, good to know how it actually works then. As for taxes I've been abroad for almost 20 years and the only taxes I actually pay are the UK ones, but since I started working home 6 years ago I started to travel and I happen to go to CABA now and then, at first I would pick up the money with...

    Western Union money transfer

Hi everybody, brand new here and this is my first post, I'm from Buenos Aires working currently for a UK based company and until last month I used to pick up my money instead of using the bank account option. Since now there's the chance to send the money to a Brubank account I decided to send...
