Precaria renewed within one week after asking for it. 3 weeks ago at the airport Migraciones told me they were grossly understaffed, but this was processed fast and efficient.

Also an update here : I got my application approved! It's faster than I expected, all in all took like 3,5 months only. Now waiting for the DNI (they will send by post).
What surprises me even more: I got a temporary residence for 24 months. I expected 12 (and then to renew it).
