I have been living in Argentina for almost two years now and I have yet to get my DNI. Last year I was waiting for my FBI papers to come through, and then this year I just have been too busy that I never got around to it. (I am studying my masters here). Anyway, I finally want to get my DNI but now looking at my documents a few of them are a year old. Do you think I need to go get them apostiled AGAIN and certified AGAIN because they are from March 2011? Any type of advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Yes. Validity of background check is 90 days from date it was issued. You need a new background check , and a new apostile. Plus all the other documents need to be current. The date you start your tramite should be dependent on when you have the background check , as it takes a while. FBI was 10 weeks , State dept apostile was 2 week. By the time it all arrived here , I had 2 months validity left.
Sorry. I ended up doing 3 background checks till I got it right. Good luck !!
