Advice for renting a residencia universitaria

Would appreciate any advice / help on my situation - I'm a 21 year old American girl who was at the UBA last fall and is returning for 8 weeks this summer. I'll be in Buenos Aires 22 june - 15 august (I thought I had housing until today when my friend informed me of it falling through, so I'm kind of in a bind). I'd prefer to be in Barrio Norte, Monserrat, or Recoleta. I've looked up a bunch of the residencia universitarias that do dorm style renting, but was wondering if anyone had any experience (positive or negative) with them? I'd ideally like to be in a living situation where I'm around native Spanish speakers. Thanks so much!
