I studied Afrikaans. It's very easy but it is a dying language I fear.
I was just this month in South Africa and shocked how much I remembered.

Yes, I've tried that as well as a number of other sites - to no avail.

If you're anxious to learn Afrikaans why don;t you go to Cape Town, ZA? It's a million times nicer (IMO) than BA and , besides accomodations, much cheaper.
