I did while traveling in Europe last year, worked fine, but I'd recommend just getting a SIM here, a lot cheaper for local use, and depending on the country you visit outside of Argentina browsing with a local SIM could be cheaper too.
 
I used it in Europe too. It was easier than using multiple sims for each country and you didn’t have to fool with an actual SIM card But esim for Argentina are much more expensive for some reason.
 
I've used Airalo in Argentina over 2 trips. First trip was a month, second trip was 3months. It works fine but you are limited on data a bit too much for the price. If you are visiting as a tourist temporarily, then go for it but any visit longer than a month or so is worth the persarverance of getting a local sim.
