Kind of a cookbook recipe of converting an open society to a dictatorship. Draws historical parallels and questions how far America has gone on this way.

Lies propagated by limousine liberals and champagne socialists. The USA is the land of the free and the home of the brave. That's what Ann Coutler, Sean Hannity, and Rush Limbaugh tell me and I have no reason to doubt them. Four legs good, two legs bad.

Well, I'm not a big Bush fan either, but the idea that the U.S. is being turned into facist state seems at the very least a bit over the top. I've included a link below that gives a very different view of Naomi 's interesting article.American Fascism in Ten Hysterical Steps: Naomi Wolf in the GuardianI think if people really believed what she says is true they should be heading for the airport to fly back to the states to try to do something about it. A lot of what Bush has done is controversial and I think that he and Republicans paid for it in the last election. There is a presidential election coming next year and I would put my money that the winner will be a very different type of president. People are unhappy with his leadership and will have the opportunity to vote for something different. That's how democracy works.
