Faena is way overpriced IMO and it's an expensive cab ride to everything from there unless you want to stay in puerto madero.

I love Home - always buena onda.

It's totally overpriced. But for a special occasion like an anniversary it could be worth it.

I am hijacking your thread, but does anyone have a similar recommendation only an hour or two's drive outside the city?

It's our anniversary, but we live in the city so not looking for a hotel in Cap Fed. Mid Sept.

Next year, come to my little Bed and Breakfast which is much more luxurious than Home and given your anniversary is in winter the lack of a swimming pool should not be a determining factor!!! Opens in 6 weeks people, Art Deco style. I should actually do a BA Expats cocktail party as I have never met any of you.

Looking to do this again this year so have referred back to the thread. Any new recommendations? We had a great time at the Home Hotel although it was very expensive in pesos. 25% discount if you pay in dollars....

I recommend nearby Azema, French colonial cuisine with some genuinely spicy dishes.
