Antarctica Cruises

I'm looking for some info about ships to Antarctica this coming January. Does anyone know about smaller cruisers, costs and availability? I understand making reservations can be a good idea, however, smaller ships are available at the last minute.Am I correct? Any info from travellers or expats would be greatly appreciated.
