Any of you Mac Wiz's know how to unlock an Iphone 4S?

It has not yet been jailbroken or unlocked. Apple will be selling an unlocked iPhone 4S in the US this month.

You all there is a chip called gevy/gevey (not sure about the spelling) on the market in Argentina that you can use to bypass the unlocking problem/firmware version issue, right? We bought one from a guy on mercardo libre and it works just fine. I can finally use the phone. There a few steps. Comes with instructions.

Opps, just realized you were talking about the 4s and not the 4. I would check though and see if they have something for the 4s.

There's an American guy named Mac Daddy that you can find on this site by searching who services all things Mac.

I used him once and it was great. A person you can trust with your stuff and in your house.

Nobody can do anything with the iPhone 4S yet. It has not been cracked by hackers, so your best bet is to buy the unlocked version when it is released this month.
