When I purchase the large bottles and close to the end all of the gas is gone. Where can I buy one of those stopper gadgets that will keep the gas for days.

I really would prefer to stay gassy - LOL :D

Welcome to the 'Carbonated Water Fan's Club' one of this country long tradition of carbonated water drinkers, usually used to dilute the wine when eaten meals at the table.

What you need to buy is a 'Sifon' o 'Soda' former glass container filled with filtered carbonated water, nowadays made in a polycarbonate and disposable container.

There are many of them in supermarkets probably the most popular is 'Soda Brio' or 'Sifon' if you don't see at the supermarkets shelves ask for it by that name, good luck and happy drinking it will never run out of gas until the last drop of water with plenty gas to spare after that happens.

I used to buy disposable siphones at the grocery store until I discovered the water delivery man. Now my water delivery man brings reusable siphones which are MUCH cheaper (1.10 pesos each) and stay MUCH fizzier than the supermarket stuff. And better for the environment.

hey, could you give the details of the company you use? I have been feeling badly about the amount of plastic sifones that I go through and would love to get delivery :) Prety please? Thanks in advance!

Hmmmm....water delivery is not common in BA?

Sadly, I can't help you, MizzMarr. I live in Cordoba, where my street is serviced by at least five different water delivery companies each week. I assumed this happened everywhere in Argentina.

Surely there's got to be water delivery in BA, though.

No problem, I just thought that someone would have a company they work with. I don't want to use Ivess, but prefer a company which uses the glass bottles and I just don't know the water service company names (except Ivess). I guess I'll call around, thanks anyway!

You could try Drago syphons, or some other brand. You carbonate the water yourself. Buy the soda syphon (they cost about $100) and get a gas charger (a screw-in canister, most ferreterías supply them at about $8). Chargers last about 25 charges. You want get very gassy water the last few charges, though.
