It is an interesting point that often comes up in conversations with Argentinians.
I just don’t think neutrality would mean much anymore in our globalised world and in the era of transnational terrorism. Argentina being Argentina and behind times would actually be what serves it better.
First Argentinians typically quote the old trope of world wars as ‘European’, which ironically is euro centric thinking (Hiroshima?).
Then they attribute too much value to declarative, to official, to national, and to neutrality. It’s the communities and interests within a country that will influence neutrality or not, much more than the alignment or not of a president. Especially in a divided country.

Besides if you want official neutrality, wasn’t Arg the official entry ‘door of Russia into South America’ about 3 years ago before it has now whiplashed to ‘all the way with Israel’?
