What is the IMF going to say about this?
The IMF let Macri break all its rules for the $40 billion loan. What are they going to say now (and actually, Massa's transgressions are pretty minor in comparison) ?

Oh, the IMF did more than allow Macri to break its rules; the IMF broke its own rules. Argentina was allowed a greater percentage of the total outstanding IMF loans than IMF rules allowed. But they did it anyhow, because the Trump administration was twisting their arm.

However, the post above assumes that what's gravy for the goose is gravy for the gander, and that's not how it works. It is entirely possible that Massa would be held to the letter of the law, even though Macri was allowed to get away with murder. Consistency is not to be assumed.

We live in an age of the world in which all the major international organizations have been corrupted, and no longer even try that hard to conceal their corruption. The IAEA, OPCW, and ICC are the most recent and blatant examples, but the corruption is universal.
