The article uses the Acronym SMR many times without once defining for those of us who do not know. Quick search calls it a Small Modular Reactor.

If successful, Argentina could be the first country in the world to have a commercially available SMR, and only the third after China and Russia to have an operational one.
Construction on the ACR-300 has yet to begin in the Atucha Nuclear Complex, where two of Argentina’s nuclear power plants are located, about 120 kilometers (80 miles) northwest of Buenos Aires.

My understanding is that Argentina is a leader in this technology.

"With 70 years of state support, Argentina has developed a mature nuclear industry with the capacity to produce and export SMR reactors. This can provide solutions to our most pressing problems: generating added value for our exports and creating quality jobs".

From https://fund.ar/publicacion/el-sector-nuclear-argentino-ante-una-oportunidad-sin-precedentes/

I guess we'll have to see if we get to 71 years of state support with the chainsaw lurking in the background (along with who knows what else), but at least this is still on an official government website:

....two days later, there's an announcement about Canada doing the same thing
