My guess is that they need to devalue again anyway. With the spread btwn official and blue at 90% (maso), they need to do something.

ETA - And yes, that sucks even more for all of us who live in pesos.

No one seems to believe that Kici with his magic Wand could lower the Blue and reduce the Spread ??? Or that patriotic Argies/Expats will start selling dollars at the Official Rate to lower the Pressure on the Blue

Well I believe kici or Vanoli did SOMETHING! What else would explain the Blue DROPPING? Only other explanation was that the cuevas were closed and nothing was trading...

Yes,agreed... they pumped more stolen dollars into the black market ...the bulk of the dollars that flow into the black market originate from corrupt government officials and their friends.
