Argentine Rugby

For Argentina to do well in the tri nations (not sure what they call it now that Argentina entered) they will need to go pro and get more kids playing rugby all around Argentina and not just the posh private schools.

I'm pretty sure that they actually have to go pro as part of the deal in joining S Africa, N Zealand and Australia and that their players have to go to these countries rather than Europe.

Maybe http://www.rugbysinfronteras.org/ can actually do some good for Argentina and go round spreading rugby to the kids who never get to play.

I'd be interested in seeing a live game here. Has anyone ever gone?[/QUOTE]

Yes there are top clubs in GBA

Top club Belgrano Athletico is very accessible in Cap Fed - with other site is in Pilar

- worth going along and consider joining lots of english speakers and total commitment to the great game

and also play cricket (some!)

wish more R League was played here - best way to develop ball handling and defensive skills for players look how many then go onto top Union Clubs. What Los Pumas has to rediscover is total attack IMHO how they used to play when Hugo Porta was best outside half in the world. Not so strong a side now and Conteponi is more interested in Euro Club money

Small Rugby Museum in San Isidro by the tren de la costa station can talk to los aficionados informados

btw the best rugby union and league is not in europe its in southern hemisphere no arguments!
