Argentine Sim Cards

Hi all! I'm arriving on friday (my first time there!) and staying for about seven weeks. I have an unlocked phone and have done a little research on local sim cards but just wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations for pre paid? I'm mostly looking for call/text but interested if anyone has any 3G tips (i've read it's slooowwww) Thanks!!

3G it's not as slow as hard to get. With Movistar I'd say I get 3G 50% of the time, being lucky.
I've heard even worse stories from other companies. That being said, Movistar had huge troubles lately with regular phone signal (couple days with cell going down in GCBA)
All of them offer $1 (peso) a day Internet on prepaid, which gives you 3G for the first MBs then goes to 2G.
I usually just charge $30 or $40 when there's 2x or 3x promotions as I rarely need to use SMS or calls (have free BA phone calls with my landline along internet 10MBps for about $140/month)

As long it's within the (011) code from BA, yes. It's called SPEEDY PLUS by Telefonica.
