Argentum: Congressman proposes new currency to replace the peso

This was in the 1970s? More context would be appreciated, thank you, I’m having a hard time finding out what this was about.
You may refer to the table attached and see all the different currency we had throughout the years, without becoming Cuba or Venezuela, etc, and we always survived. Pesos moneda nacional ($m/n) became Pesos ley 18.188 in 1970. Then in 1983, back to Peso Argentino, then in 1985 it was the Austral, then in 1992 back to peso. Please, see all the zeros removed reflected on the third column, which didn't fit into calculators.
