ATM/Bank Withdrawal Limits?

I've read on several places that everywhere has an imposed limit of between 300-600 pesos per transaction. Some people recommend getting a Citibank account in the US because their ATM's allow larger withdrawals.

Has anyone else dealt with this issue, and how did you overcome it?

I do realize that this issue has been posted here before, but it looks like it changes quite frequently, and someone could have figured out something since then.

Depends on the bank with Chase it was 600 pesos now it is 300 pesos. Also, if you do get a bank account here..most the time you are only allowed to withdraw $1,000p per day or $3,000p/week..unless you change it with your bank. Has anyone found an Atm that gives out dollars?

I got 700 pesos out from a galacia bank about a month ago. Went there again today to get some more money and it tells me I am trying to exceed my daily limit.
