Aveda

L´Occitane are great products, however the prices here in Buenos Aires are unfathomable. There are creams and lotions in the $300 peso range and bars of soap in the $50 range.
 
Hmmm. I don't know if you know what Aveda products are if you've "seen them everywhere" because Ryan, who was my hair dresser when I could afford to go, used to work at an Aveda salon and specifically tried to get the product. Not only does the company not distribute here, but the product can't be imported for restricted aduana regulatory reasons. I would be shocked to see it, high end salons or not. Some American hair products can be found, but they are twice as expensive as in the states. You're almost better off ordering it and having a friend ship it or bring it when they visit...
