Recently I have been reading about this interesting plant from Brazil and the Amazon region and its spiritual and healing qualities seem very interesting.

Can any guests or members tell us about your experiences with this sacred plant and the religion connected to it Santo Daime.

There is an amusing passage about it in Redmond O'Hanlon's funny book about his travels in the area, "In Trouble Again", in which he describes using this drug as feeling exactly like someone has just hit you in the back of the head with a baseball bat.

Never sounded that tempting to me....

Ayahuasca is not a recreational drug. If you have a drug addiction/substance abuse issue, it's a miracle drug. Or maybe you want enlightenment. But just to take it for shits and giggles is rather disrespectful

Thanks Arty for your respectful reply . I cannot understand people who need to cheapen a serious topic that was written with interest and to acquire knowledge.

Thank you. I have the same respect of this as I do for Peyote. I have not have the chance to experience either yet and when the situation is right, hopefully I will be able to. There are plants and animals that were placed on this Earth to help guide us and not to be taken lightly. My brother use to tell me that "Aliens" gave us these things so we can interact with them. I didn't fully understand what he meant until I tried some DMT.

If you are curious about it, read up as much as you can and see if you can take part in a ceremony. If you take a serious and respectful approach to it, I feel you will be rewarded.
