Being half-French, I'm wondering if there are any special events for Bastille Day? Frenchie?

Like every year, the bar Le Merval will organize something.

Very likely, the restaurant Le Sud will also have a special menu.

EDIT, the menu of Le Sud (valid july 14-19 = 660 pesos = quite cheap):

Menú Cena

Amuse Bouche
Beignet de langostino y royal de berenjena.

Entrada
Vieyras y panceta a la plancha, bouillon de calabaza a la trufa.
Rutini Encuentro Pinot Noir Brut Nature

Pesca
Papillote de merluza negra.
Rutini Encuentro Chardonnay

Carne

Yeah, nice mistake... I even fixed one in the menu, on "Amouse Bouche" as shown on Sofitel's FB page... A non-French likely typed an hand-written menu (best explanation for those typos).

BTW, the French language is supposed to become the major one worldwide in a few decades (debated though and I don't believe that), nice opportunity to toast too!

I don't believe that for a second.

Either way I haven't been to le sud for a couple years and need to fix that, any interest in a baexpats table? Tuesday maybe?

Ha ha, I didn't even notice the mistake on the menu. I saw "molleaux" and stopped reading!

I don't believe it for a second too (calculations take into account many African countries... Black guys in Bs As are mainly from Senegal and they mainly speak Wolof, not French... that's where that fails).

As for a special BAexpats dinner (or lunch, why not) at Le Sud, it's like an Arlésienne ! And we can be 10/12 max

Well France was an Empire so let the consequences be.
Arab languages maybe, but there are many Berbers in France.

Last, the French language should remain the official diplomatic one.
