Does anybody know which is the best US credit card (not debit) that has low fees, good benefits like miles or points. I cut-up my credit cards along time ago but want to get a back-up credit card for Argentina. Can anybody recogmend a good one?
Cheers!

I have a Capitol One card, and it seems a good choice for use in both US and internationally. No fees on international charges, points are very flexible, no annual fee.

Yes, Capital One. It's the only U.S. credit card I know of that doesn't charge international-currency fees, and the APR is fair.

Just applied for the British Airways Visa today from Chase - 50,000 miles for signup, plus an additional 50,000 miles if you spend $2500 in the first 90 days. It has a $95 annual fee, but these miles are great and work out to a free round-trip ticket to Argentina on any Oneworld partner airline (American, LAN, etc.). They also have no foreign transaction fees.

Also thought I would mention the American Express Platinum. They just eliminated foreign transaction fees, refund up to $200 per year in excess airline fees, give you access to a ton of airport lounges, priority car rental membership, free global entry, concierge, and a lot more. The new details are at: http://transformtravel.americanexpress.com/

They also have a 50,000 miles promotion if you spend $1000 within 3 months:

There is a $450/year fee, but if you use these benefits, it pays for itself in no time.

The BA visa Chase card mentioned by Sleuth is very good - you also get $50 off any BA ticket and some free companion fares if you spend enough. No foreign transaction fee as he mentioned and very few if any customer service issues.
