So I watched this bbc documentary this morning about global dimming , which is well worth a look but basically gave the idea we`re heading for something along the lines of Mad Max scenario in either ours or our childrens lifetime regardless of what we do about global emissions.
Anyway, it got me thinking where would be the best place to be when we all decend into chaos? Argentina which is suitably always in a state of chaos might actually be a decent place to be when the climate shit hits the fan. Personally thinking Patagonia on the foothills of the Andes? Its cold, remote, plenty of fresh water supply, lots of sheep.

Thoughts anyone?

How much prep do we get? I'd build a greenhouse on an uninhabited island and go Swiss family Robinson on anyone who tried to land on the island.

I'd be joining the queue for Patagonia.
Having said that, global cooling isn't such a remote possibility.

Difficult to say, watch the video. It looks like anything from 30 years plus. So we have some time, i`d say best to get camp setup within 15 years. Then by the time everyone works out things are going down hill quickly we`ll be self sufficient and a mine field in place to stop the hordes. Perhaps the falklands would be a good place, that has ready made mine fields.

The Falklands would be one of the best places in the world come environmental and societal meltdown. Actually with Argentina distracted by the global masses flocking to it it might actually be a more peaceful period for the Falklanders...

When the chaos, the riots and the shortages of food and water begin, none of us "city animals" have any chance whatsoever of surviving.

Don't worry, they'll still have their bitcoins to trade.
