Best Place In Argentina For Self Preservation

I vote for somewhere in the punillas of cordoba providence....but then i am prejudiced in that this is where i have settled.....its a mini mountain chain with a string of small towns....Now, there is good wifi and other infastructure, (due to it being a meca for argentine tourism ) still lots of local honey, olive oil, local olives of all kinds, local goat and lamb, dried and fresh fruits, little crime (of course, if you dont flaunt your expat stuff),.....I have been here for 3 years, and the climate has changed to more rain (a good thing...creeks and rivers that had dried up in the past are now running)......now if the fish return, i will be in pig heaven (a former rural Oregon person into flyfishing)....

Will ajoknob be knocking on Steve's door saying 'I was joking, it was all a big misunderstanding, Ayn acolytes like us need to stick together in times of global armageddon.' ?

Where I live, ajoknob would be committing a grievous social faux pas to knock on anyone's door.

yeah you have to clap your hands outside the house? I've seen that in Neuquen. Bizarre stuff.

It keeps strangers at a "safe" distance. It's not at all bizarre to people who live here and probably think some of the customs in our (expat) home countries are equally bizarre.

If the climate has changed where you are it may only have happened because those with the power to change it have done so.

The climate is, indeed changing...and we don't have 30 years to find a safe haven.

Global dimming (mentioned in the OP) is real and it is actually a consequence of geoengineering:

Unfortunately, living in a remote location and shopping for all your basic needs at Walmart won't be sufficient to sustain you much longer than those crammed into cities. Also, you'll need the ability to defend your castle from the roving hoards as well.

Carpentry and agronomy will be the new high-profile professions. Ammunition and seeds the new capital.

More Tin Foil please.

I couldn't agree more.

I am already prepared to live without Wal-Mart...

And my location is not a likely destination for the roving hoards, but I am not going to divulge the reason here.

More Tin Foil please.

Your request for tin foil is reasonable, but don't expect others to provide it.

Tin foil will help you stay warm if you wrap you entire body with it when you find yourself without a source of heat when the gas or electricity is off for an extended period of time and you don't have a wood burning stove or fireplace.

The fact that you made this post 15 minutes after I posted the link clearly demonstrates that you have not viewed the video which is 1 hour and 17 minutes in length.

It would be interesting to read a post from anyone who takes the time to watch it and can offer a different point of view and/or refute the information and/or the conclusions presented in the video.
