Hi,

I just had an apartment owner say he drop the rent by US$50 a month if I pay the cable-internet-gas-power-water bill (its a bundle apparently). While i realise all apartments may be different is it worth doing this?

Why don't you ASK him how much they are? (Then do the math.)

Cablevision cable can cost Ar$65- $95 monthly for one cable conexion.
Other cables may cost more.

Intenet can cost $90 easily or more monthly (some a little less)

Water, Eletricity, Gas are bimonthly.... I got an Ar $4o electricity bill and $150 GAs...lately

It´s definitely not a good deal... It´s a way of indirectly raising your rent
(by getting you to take over all those costs)

I would recommend being very polite, thanking the person for the offer but saying it would disrupt your budgeting or whatever diplomatic way to say it-- that things are fine as the are or whatever..

A good excuse would be to tell him that you have no idea how to pay the bills here and that you rather he does it ;)

Or don't have time to stay in lines.
