Fine old traditional galletas saladas of Argentina. Been made with beef tallow forever, since Perón was in exile.
But I wasn't paying attention and grabbed a bag of the new "100% vegetal" ones. Much to my amazement, they're still just as good.

Mind you, they still have three "escudos negros" - Excess total fat, excess salt, and excess calories. Anything with three black shields is going to be tasty, you have to know...

Tasty...so you "can't stop eating them."

Perhaps those warning labels on the processed food packages will be a new addition soon in the US market.

Is this what you bought,

and, if you still have the bag, could you please post a photo of the back that shows the list of ingredientes as well as the nutritional values/information?

Yes, that's the one, and almost exactly same price I paid at the Coto, IIRC

Sorry, bro, I ate 'em all and threw out the bag already. Salty crunchies like that don't last long around here :)

"Bizcochitos de grasa" are also made fresh in most bakeries.

Have been the preferred snack to accompany "mate" sessions since forever. Even the snobbiest local foodies love them.

Also served with the best imported Scotch....!
