A lot of assassinations in Buenos Aires in the 1970's. Am wondering if anyone has a list of all the locations (cafes, apartment buildings, etc.) where assassinations took place. For example Carlos Prats was killed at Malabia 3305 apparently, which is at the intersection with Santa Fe right near the botanical gardens. But I'd like a list/map of all such locations in Buenos Aires, including a brief history of what happened at each location, pictures, and so forth.

I've been reading more about the 1970's here what an exciting time.

Why not visit somewhere like Venezuela and experience exciting assassination happy governments in real time!

Presuming your numeration is accurate, that section of Malabia is now República Árabe Siria, and it's less than a block from our apartment. It's at the corner of Segui, less than a block from Libertador

I think he might be using the word exciting with some sense of tragic irony

this might help: http://www.latinamericanstudies.org/terrorism/montoneros.htm

LOL @ bombing some econ prof's house. Argies b crazy

Compiling the list would be hard work. Going through old newspapers, finding the places, etc.; wondering if there's a market for such a tour.

There's a celebrity murder tour in Los Angeles, but it's commercially successful because the names and faces of the victims are very well known.

I don't think many tourists would be interested in a tour in BA which highlighted political assassinations and murders, but I hope the site of the former Israeli embassy and the Jewish Cultural Center are visited by tourists who are aware of and concerned about the threat posed by psychotic Islamic terrorists and think its worth the time to remember their victims.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
