Booking hotels is a bit hit and miss considering the ones we want to stay in don't take cards so you have to bank transfer a deposit, although some have kindly taken just our email as a booking.
There is a surprising amount of availability actually and we even found one giving 50% discount. Could be the Brazil effect.
