Vamos Spanish Academy is looking for a friendly and professional person with great energy to fill our Business Manager position at our Alto Palermo office. You will be responsible for the day-to-day office operations, work closely with clients and other key staff, and become an integral part of our small but robust international team whose ultimate goal is to provide an enriching learning experience for our students.
Key Responsibilities include:
- ensure the daily operations of the school are running smoothly and business is operating optimally
- problem solve any issues that may arise
- make additions and/or improvements to business services and/or operational matters whenever deem necessary
- supervise and work closely with academic and administrative personnel to make sure everything is on schedule and on track
- liaison with activity and service providers for new offerings and promote them to the students and facilitate in the booking process
- involve in the planning and running of weekly extra-curricular activities
- coordinate or hire service providers/workers for any maintenance or repair needs at the school
- take care of the renewal of business services and any related permits etc.
- assist in hiring new employees and teachers as needed
- make supplies purchases and make sure bills are paid on time
- customer service responsibilities include but not only interact with current and potential students to help them with any inquiries
- opening and closing of the school
Qualifications, skills and abilities:
- With a good presence and a positive and proactive attitude
- Able to think on your feet and with superb problem solving skills
- Able to maintain efficient office work flow, especially under stressful situation
- Extremely responsible and dependable
- Great leadership skills
- Enjoy dealing with people and building customer relationship
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a casual but fast-paced environment
- Critical attention to details
- Willing to get your hands dirty and able to perform a wide range of tasks
Minimum requirements to be considered:
- Hold a University degree
- 2-4 years of working experience, preferably in the customer service sector and even better if you have managed people before
- Minimum 2 years contract
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be able to communicate comfortably in Spanish, preferably already at an advanced level
- Knowledge of other languages highly welcomed
Benefits:
- Salary commensurate with experience.
- Full time legally hired position with a work contract (no relocation is provided)
