Hi!
I am thinking of buying low value items that are hard to find here in Argentina (hair wax, etc.) on Internet, and get it shipped here. Does anyone know what the import rules and taxes are?

I think the packages will have a value of around 20-30USD, shipping included.

Thank you!

it's a 50% tax, and you need to have your receipts. You get an allowance of $25 once per calendar year that doesn't get taxed.

In my experience, I have bought things on the internet, had them sent to family and friends in the US and had them mail them to me via US Mail. No taxes involved. It all depends upon how many things you want sent and how big - you might have to go to the central post office in Retiro.

there's also a good chance the items will just disappear, get them registered with a tracking number.
