Buying Real Estate in Argentina

I've been looking at real estate prices in Argentina, and most of what I've found is for the major cities like Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Rosario, etc. Can someone give me an idea of what a modest, 3 bedroom home, with central air conditioning, preferably new or newer construction, would cost in a much smaller village or city?

These two properties in my town are listed at almost $200k. I'm sure a deal can be made for less but a few years ago it would have been under a $100k list price for comparison.
It probably isnt all that different from a major city price. Rents are always so low compared to the purchase prices, especially in rural towns that I can never commit to a real estate purchase.

You can search by area or barrio on MercadoLibre. Out here (Los Cardales), north of CABA, prices for a 3 bedroom house in a barrio would vary between 180-220k Dollars. Depends on the size of the ground, amenities (pool), and so on. Barrios often have common amenities as well, restaurants, tennis courts, fitness clubs and even golf courses, which will affect the price. A 50 year old house in the premiere Barrio in Los Cardales (the Country Club) with old style construction (bricks and wood, no concrete) will sell at a major premium because of this, even though it will need major renovation within 10 years or so.

Regarding rents, I recently came across this (from inmobiliaria.si):




They’re suggesting a rentability of 5% pero year which does translate into a very low rent (USD 1000 for a 200k house). Is that what you’re refuting, @Cordoba?

Exactly. Still a low rent. To go back in time of I would have bought but that is hindsight.
