I am living in Villa Crespo. Cable is provided for TV but all the programs are in Spanish which can be fine however I would like to get some news in English. Can someone clue me in on any providers which offer this service. If possible pricing structure or websites so I can research what is available in this marketplace.

Many thanks

Walter

Walter - direct tv with an hbo subscription might work for you. Not sure about the news content but you will get us cable shows, if you are a sports fan subscribe to espn, you will get basketball and nfl at least. On my remote control there is a button marked SAP, push this and if available you will the original english commentary or undubbed movies. Only really works for sports and movies, not local programming or news. Only us news channel I ever see is CNN, always in spanish as it is the regional variation.

Netflix subscription might work for you also, don't have any experience of it myself.

Hope this helps a little.

You can get CNN and Fox News in English with Direct TV.

If cable is "provided" then there's likely not much that can be done/altered on that front. Suggest you turn to the internet for a solution.

Get a digital box (telecentro digital hd here)

Almost all the "international" channels carry an english audio track too. Especially the HD ones.

DirecTV doesn't offer Fox News anymore. Only CNN and I think Bloomberg. Fox News was replaced by a Chilean 24 hour news station about a year or two ago.

BBC, CNN and Al Jazeera amongst others appear to come as standard free to air on Cablevision and DirecTV in my experience.
Heartily agree with the comment about Fox.
