When you check in to a hotel they usually check your passport. Do they check the visa and if it's still valid, or just the passport? Does it matter? It wouldn't be a horribly expired visa, just over 90 days

The hotel is generally just checking to match that your ID name matches the name on your credit card

Yes..they check the visa entry stamp...basis that if you arrived more than 6 months ago, they charge you a resident tax...@ 21%

You will be welcome at the Hotel Caseros, with an expired visa.

It's been my experience that hotels have never, that I have noticed, check anything other than the "face page" of my passport. I have never noticed them at reception looking through the booklet for anything. I believe all they are really interested in is the passport number and perhaps the expiration date.
