Carnivale in BA?

HI all,

just wondering if there are any Carnivale celebrations that go on in BA? The other evening, we happend to come across what looked like people practicing for a Carnivale parade while we were walking through Palermo. The music was great - i'd love to go see it somewhere.

You should go to Galeguaychu in Entre Rios, other than Rio de Janeiro, there is a carnival going on there right now...

What you probably saw was a Murga.

The Carnaval in Gualeguachu is every Saturday until March 7, and is well worth the trip!

There are Carnival celebrations all over the city during the weekends and until March.
