Hey all,
I was just doodling around re-reading the government websites, as one does, and noticed they may be changing the wording and rules for the residency applications.
Main example, residency through spouse, we know last year's decree made spouse based residency go from permanent to 1 yr. temp. renewable for 3 years.
But I noticed the gov site now says it gives temp. "for the same period to that of the criterion giver. In the event that the criterion is Argentine or has permanent residency, authorization will be granted for a maximum period of up to three years". Not exactly the same as the old perm. rules, but an effective 3 year temp. is a lot better than a 1 yr. renewable. Plus is rolls into a perm. application anyhow.
Plus, I think the wording for the rentista visa might have gotten more vague and applicable to digital nomads.

My personal guess is maybe the courts have been battering away against the immigration decree (and it's un-constitutional over-reach) in the background. Maybe they are silently rolling back the harshest of the changes to lessen impact.
No idea really, wanted to hear everyone else's thoughts.
