Hi all..

I have a question regarding the money I have been paying for 'Jubilacion'. I have been working here in 'Blanco' for the past four years and I have decided to move back to the UK next month. I have been told that it is possible for me to claim back what I have already paid into a 'pension' here. Has anyone heard of this or have any information about it? Or know of anyone who has done this successfully?

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Well that is exactly what I thought until I realized it was 10% of my salary every month for the past 4 years.

Maybe there will be a Tax agreement with the UK? :D

There is agreements with Greece, Potugal, Italy and a few other countries though this is because the operate a simplar system.
Nope I dont think you can.
I have looked at this.
Though because the system is different here.
I.e. The contributions you pay actually pay for the retired people now, then if you were to stay here the young would pay for you and so on and so on
This is a more socialist type system, that was brought about after the 2001 crash.

There is agreements with Greece, Potugal, Italy and a few other countries though this is because the operate a similar system.

So the answer is no.
Because it is not your money, in affect it is a TAX you pay to pay for the people retired in Argentina.

Cheers

ps: If you worked in AUS or NZ yes you can claim it back though this is because they are private mangaged funds, you just have to pay the max tax rate if you take it.
