Coffee and cake prices

I think for those who are arguing that Argentina is still affordable are those with properties. When you part with between 30% and 50% of your income on rent/expensas/ABL/luz/AySA/MetroGAS/etc. it's difficult to save/trim/adjust, and while Milei and Co. like to celebrate an alleged "recovery" dismal few Argentines are actually able to get mortgages, and those that do are likely the wealthy moving to bigger homes or have a downpayment from the Bank of Mom and Dad.
I guess you're right. Even with crazy expensas (300k) and electricity bills (250-350k), owning your own house really makes it more affordable here.

I’m in Spain. Renovating a property. Today around 6pm driving to the hardware store, my dental bridge came off. Checked online, saw my dentist open till 9 pm and got there without an appointment. They sorted out my problem and when it was time to pay; they said you don’t need to pay anything!! This is a designer decorated very chic clinic. It’s not only the weather making people move to Spain. If you love Argentina and happy, then of course there’s no other option for you. But if you moved to Argentina because it was the cheapest democracy and now you’re struggling, you can turn your head this way. There are also many visa options for retirees or digital nomads.
Replying to my own post; to give a feedback and see what you thinking. I was told that I will need 2 root canal treatments and then 4 individual crowns on my 4 front teeth. I was quoted € 2500. I think that’s a very good price. In a spotless dental clinic. What do you think?

That's a good price, but not a great one, I think. Uncomplicated crown placement in the US starts about there.

I'm getting my all-inclusive health insurance in Spain for around €900 annually, and I'm an old geezer.

I’m sure I can find it cheaper but this is quite a bit on the posh side. 2 root canal treatments would be around at least usd 1000 in the us. I just got my insurance here. It covers everything including dental (dental after 8 months though). Covers everything including overseas (overseas is up to €100k per year) and I pay 115 euros per month.

Oh dear, no, you will not prosper with a wine bar up there. It's rum, (ron de Caldas, which tastes like cough syrup), anis (mostly over-sugared), or beer, which is sometimes OK. Let's stay in Argentina and not go thirsty.
I have had Colombian "ron añejo", specifically a brand called La Hechicera, and it was amazingly good, as a sipping experience easily comparable to the best single malt scotch I've ever had. Sure as hell nothing like cough syrup! Of course, it's like 55 USD a bottle but hey, the good stuff is never cheap.

Personally, I'm content with a beer and a little tequila, but I have the tastes of a peasant...

$100.000 on Mercado Libre. Gulp.

Aged rum is arguably my favorite spirit because it really doesn't require anything else to enjoy. My top shelf was El Dorado 15 year from Guayana but that was many moons ago when I had more to spend on drinks than children's clothes.

Yowzer! Talk about price gouging!
That $55 price was quoted to me by a Colombian friend, (also a user here on BAExpats), who is now living in Canada. He and his family recently returned from a vacation in Colombia, and he said he bought a bottle for that price.

La Hechicera is the only ron añejo I have ever tasted but I was deeply impressed. When I was stateside I was a fan of Sailor Jerry's, but when I tasted La Hechicera for the first time, I realized that the indescribable mix of flavors is what "spiced rum" is trying to imitate. Of course, there is no comparison once you've tried both.

I don't think I've ever had Hechicera, I'll look out for it. My reference for rum is Venezuelan rum, there are a few brands that make it here, like Carúpano, Pampero, Diplomático, but especially anything from Santa Teresa. Their 1796 is very good. Most are sadly in the $100.000 range @LuckyLuke mentions, so we shall remain 2, or even 3 peasants.

Which tequila do you drink? Anything better than José Cuervo (which my Mexican friends recommended as paint stripper) is also in the $100k range on ML.
